NgorongoroThe Ngorongoro Conservation Area is 2500 sqare miles. The crown jewel of this conservation area is the Ngorongoro Crater. The crater is one of the biggest craters in the world. It's 9 miles across, 2000-2500 feeet deep, and covers 102 sqare miles. Prior to the trip I've heard a lot about this place and was really looking forward to see it. This is the place that we got to see Africa's "Big Five": elephants, lions, black rhinoceros, hippopotamus, and buffalo. |
