We concluded our adventure late Sunday afternoon. We then
had a most delightful and memorable dinner in the Ahwahnee dining room. |
On Monday morning, we had room service. We had a
continental breakfast--after this filling breakfast I feel like a continent
myself :-) In addition to a glass of orange juice, a bowl of fresh mixed fruit,
there was also a basket filled with an exotic assortment of bread and muffins. |
|
It snowed. However, we were not deterred. |

This is one of my favorite pictures on this trip. Notice
the white spot toward the right? It's a large piece of fluffy snow! |
|
Very quiet. Very peaceful. Who would have known that this
place is filled with people and buses during the summer. |

We walked around. By chance we got to the bottom of
Yosemite Fall. We were rewarded with a nice view. However, we decided to turn
back at this point since we had to go back to our hotel to check out.
More exploration will have to wait until next year. |

What are those animals? Bears?! Nope, just some nice and
tame deer. |

Look at my snow covered car. Despite our best efforts to
make ourselves snowed in--being stuck at Ahwahnee Hotel for another day would not
have been bad :-)--the road remained clear. We drove away reluctantly.
However, that was after we made a reservation for a cottage at Ahwahnee for next
year! |

We had a quick lunch at Merced. |
The drive home was interesting: sunshine, cloud, rain, and
a complete rainbow! Until next year... |
