Maui: March 15
After our breakfast we decided to snorkel at Kapalua Bay, our favorite and
safest beach at West Maui. The waves were higher and the currents were stronger,
but Theresa and I still enjoyed our snorkeling adventure. Theresa and I even
swam pretty far out. I was even a little afraid. I did not want to be lost at
sea before turning 40!

We then cleaned up and went to the Village course at Kapalua. We met David
and his young 2.5-year old son Robert. By chance, David and his family were
vacationing at West Maui also. So we played the twilight rate. Theresa and I
played a sort of best-ball scramble. We teed from the women's tee. I actually
had a pretty good outing. I was very happy with a few of my drives. I was also
happy for this 4th iron that went 160 yards to the green. I was very satisfied
with my par at this par-3 in the front-9. Most of all, I was very happy for
being with Theresa and enjoyed a great view of the ocean. We had a good time,
and we got 14 holes in before it got too cold and windy.
Theresa was admiring her drive.
A nice view of a lake and the ocean beyond.
David and his son Robert.
Watch out Annika Sorenstam, Karrie Webb, and Julie Inkster--here comes Theresa
"Tiger" Woo. (Theresa was really born in the year of Tiger :-)
I was pleasantly delighted with the view
that we had. Lanai is across the water.
Instead of being at Intel working on the Management Development Program, I
really wanted to initiate a Golf Career Path--but I think I'll still keep my day
job :-)

We had a great dinner at the Anuenue Room at the Ritz Carlton. We started our
evening with a cocktail of Mai Tai and Laihana Sunset. For dinner I had salmon,
and Theresa had Kalua roasted pig. We concluded our evening with some
decadent chocolate desserts. Yummy. We had a great day even though it was not
even my
birthday yet!
