On the 13th Day of Christmas I Gave My True Love ... A Near Heart Attack!
Theresa was born on Dec 26th. It has always been difficult to hold a birthday
celebration for her because our friends and family are either away on vacation, visiting
familiy, or just tired after all the holiday shopping and eating. This year is not
one of her x0 or x5 special birthday. However, since her birthday falls on a Sunday this
year, I thought this will be great chance for me to surprise her. The next time her
birthday will be on a Sunday will be 2004! So I better do it now. Besides, this year is
1999. I thought it may be fun to do a pre-Millennium celebration since on the actual New
Millennium Eve we planned to stay home to be sane and safe :-)
I did not plan to have a party for Theresa until shortly after Thanksgiving. At the
Thanksgiving dinner I found out that one of my nieces has started working at Evite ( www.evite.com ) as an "user data guru." This is
another of one those Internet .com companies that have a great idea, flushed with venture
capitalist money, but lacks a solid business model to make money! Nevertheless, I thought
maybe I can use this WEB-based event planning service to send out invitation and collect
RSVPs. Originally I laughed at the idea because I thought this idea will flounder because
no everyone has access to e-mail. As it turned out that more than 90% of our friends have
e-mail, so it was relatively easy for me to hold this party. Click on the following links
