Chi-Jen Primary SchoolChi-Jen is the best primary school--since I went there :-)One of the many highlights on this trip was visiting my primary school. My sister, her friend, Theresa, and I went to Chi-Jen Primary School. http://www.cjps.tpc.edu.tw/ It was such a fun visit. I saw things that were familiar, like the building that I was in for my 6th grade. I also saw so many improvements, like the many new classrooms. It was so nice to see all the kids studying inside or playing outside. I was impressed with all the English language instruction. I know the future of these kids will be bright because of the great foundation they have at this school. It was a special treat that the principal took time out of her busy schedule to give us a special tour of the school. All the kids enjoyed greeting her. Chi-Jen Primary School just recently celebrated its 50 year anniversary. Before we left the Principal presented us a special commemorative book that celebrates the anniversary. That evening I discovered a great treasure. It was an unbelievable picture of me playing in the marching band. I did not even know such a picture existed! That's probably taken when I was in the fourth grade, which is about 33 years ago. Amazing. My two brothers and sister all were taught by this teacher who has since retired. However, by chance we met his son who is teaching at the Chi-Jen high school. My sister was able to get his phone number and made a visit to him and his wife the next day. She also met a classmate of hers who is working at this school. So my sister has a special memory from this trip also.
