Shanghai Museum

It was the best museum, it was so short of time

We spent several hours inside the Shanghai Museum ( http://www.shanghaimuseum.net/ ). This museum was founded in 1952 but was moved into its modern facility in 1996. We were very impressed with both the artifacts and also the display space. It was an afternoon well spent. Theresa was especially impressed with all the ceramics. Since she has done some ceramic pieces during college she could appreciate the artistry and the difficulty of executing some of these intricate pieces and especially the colorful glazing. Frankly Theresa was more impressed with this museum than than famous National Palace Museum in Taipei where we visited later during our vacation. It was a pity that we ran out of time and energy to enjoy all parts of the museum in details. We will come back next time for sure.
