WaterFire at Providence, Rhode
Island is something not to be missed. If you think that it's impossible to mix
water and fire, think again. It's only performed on selected Saturdays during
late Spring, summer, and early Fall. For the latest schedule, please check http://www.waterfire.com/
It's one of the most interesting spectacles that I've seen.

While I was walking around during the day time I was wonder
about all these fire bowls that were filled with wood. |

When the sky darkened, the fire was lit. |
|
The sight of the fire shimmering on top of water. The
embers flying up. The smell of the burning wood. The sound of the crackling
wood and also the operatic music. Fantastic. Wonderful. Romantic. |
I was so impressed that I walked along the river twice
until about midnight when most of the fire started to die out. I promised to
bring Theresa the next time. We will definitely take the gondola ride too :-) |
