A delightful dinner with the Kelly's at Canoe
House, which is located at Mauna
Lani Bay Hotel. A review
at Epicurious. My Opakapaka was heavenly. |
Island Lava
Java on Alii Drive. |
|
We both had cool drinks to refresh ourselves. |
Huggo's on
the Rocks on Alii Drive. We had a satisfying lunch. |
|
I ate "Asian Beef Salad Spicy Beef on Top of Local
Greens, Asian Vegetables and Soba Noodles, with Thai Vinaigrette and Won-Ton
Chips." |
Huggo's is right in front of the water. |
|
Theresa was such a sport. |
|
|
Theresa had a big, fat hamburger. I had a grilled Ahi
sandwich. |
Aioli's
at Waimea (Kamuela). We were driving around, and Theresa saw this restaurant.
Great suggestion. I even bought a pair of surfer pants. |
|
Donatoni's
is an upscale Italian restaurant at Hilton Waikoloa Village. |
|
|
I splurged! I wanted to take a photo for this, which cost a
cool $16! This is a Carnival Mask of Venice. "Hilton Waikoloa
Village's world renown Executive Pastry Chef David Brown presents his version
of the classic Venetian Carnival Mask, resting atop a light bittersweet
chocolate marquis on a layer of flourless chocolate cake, served with season
fresh fruit. This is the new Signature Dessert of Donatoni's Restaurant." |
What's the best part of this restaurant? It's right next to
Kahaluu Beach Park. KALANIKAI BAR & GRILL is located at Keauhou
Beach Resort. |
|
I had a mahi-mahi wrap. |
|
|
At Huggo's after dinner I ate a piece of Macadamia Nut Pie
A La Mode: "Made by the "Mac Pie Lady" herself. This
rendition of an Old Fashioned Pecan Pie is Made with Macadamia Nuts, Real
Butter, Pure Cane Sugar and other Natural Hawaiian Products." |

Roy's
Waikoloa Bar & Grill in King's Shops. So far we have ate at dinner's
at Kauai, Maui, and now Big Island! Roy's is one of our favorite pan-Asian
restaurants. Ironically we never ate at Roy's in San Francisco nor in
Monterey, CA. |
