Pu'uhonua o Honaunau (formerly Place of Refuge)

Read more about this place at the official National Park Service website. It's an interesting place. However, it's one of those places that one visit is enough. Frankly next time I want to go there in order to go snorkel at Honaunau Bay that is located next to this park.

Honaunau Bay is suppose to be a great snorkel place. However, entry and exit seemed to be a little difficult since it's a boat harbor.

After leaving the Place of Refuge, we stopped at the Saint Benedict's Catholic Church, more affectionately known as the Painted Church.

Remarkable fresco done by Father John Velge between 1899 and 1904.
