Mauna Kea Golf

So far playing at Mauna Kea Golf course has been my favorite golf outing. I had two par's in the opening 4 holes. I then had a dry-spell. Toward the end of the day I noticed that I had a drought of par's. I fortunately converted 2 more pars in the last 4 holes.  It was so much fun because the course was scenic and windless on that particular afternoon in October.

Here is the course layout; I flipped the drawing left-to-right and up-to-down because that's the way the course is laid out! Here is a drawing of the famous third-hole: the tee box and the green is separated by the Pacific ocean. The course was designed by Robert Trent Jones, Sr. and has consistently been rated as one of the top 100 courses in U.S. and the top course in Hawaii by Golf Magazine.

Is that a birdie? Nope. Here were some turkeys that trotted across the fairway and the road :-)
