We were spoiled by all the breathtaking sunsets on the Big
Island. Here was the sunset at Hapuna Beach. |
What's that bright spot on top of the highest mountain on
the Big Island, Mauna Kea at 13,796 feet? It's the famed observatory where
some serious astronomy is being done. |

I was impressed by the "lipless" pool where the
water is at the same level as the ground. Very pretty. However, it was sad to
notice the absence of tourists after the Sep-11 calamity. |
