We enjoyed some many different activities on Kauai even though most people consider this to be a laid-back island. We enjoyed our bike ride in Kapaa after renting our bikes at Kayak Kauai. We also enjoyed a 9-hole of golf at Kiahuna.

Snorkeling at Lydgate. I'm a sucker for snorkeling. Everyday we spent the last 1-2 hours before sunset snorkeling. Here is the list of our favorite snorkeling places in descending order.
  1. Tunnels Beach (past Hanalei)
  2. Kee Beach (head of Kalalau Trail)
  3. Beach House Beach (Poipu)
  4. Lydgate Beach park (Wailua)
  5. Poipu Beach (Poipu)
  6. Salt Pound (Hanapepe)

Horseback riding at Poipu. One of our highlights of our trip was taking a three-hour ride. We did it through CJM Stables. We had a friendly guide. Best of all, we were on very easy-going horses. Which is a good thing considering that this was my first time on a horse, not counting being on a mule at Grand Canyon. The only thing was that my horse kept wanting to stop and eat the grass along the trail. I had to stop him several times. By the way, Theresa's claim to fame is that she rode a horse named Tom Sellec!

Hiking at Waimea Canyon. Even though I have been to Grand Canyon twice, I still was impressed by the aptly named "Little Grand Canyon." We enjoyed the scenery. It's a shame that my photo did not turn off too well due to the cloud cover. I think on our next trip we will get there earlier in the morning.
